As you may already know, I absolutely love everything sweet and sugary. Red velvet cake, chocolate chip cookies, milkshakes and ice cream: you’ve probably seen them all on my Instagram feed …multiple times haha! But what you probably don’t know about me, is the fact that I’m actually lactose intolerant. And that’s exactly what they put in those delicious cakes and milkshakes. Ugh! Luckily, there’s something for us peeps who can’t handle lactose that well: lactase caplets! Today I’m going to tell you guys a little bit more about the Disolact lactase caplets from Disolut.
What exactly is lactose intolerance?
Lactose is a natural sugar that is found in dairy products, such as milk and yogurt. Normally, our bodies produce the enzyme lactase which digest and breaks down the lactose. But someone with lactose intolerance can’t break these sugars down, because their intestine just stops making enough lactase. This can cause symptoms such as bloating, gas and stomach pain, which can be VERY annoying!
The solution: lactase caplets
But what do you do when you still love all those chocolate chip cookies and ice cream? I still want to eat those delicious things every now and then, so I started searching on the internet for a solution. After a while, I found the website from Disolut. Simply take one or two caplets before you eat something with lactose and the caplet will break down the milk sugars in your body.
I noticed my symptoms are much worse after I eat things with whipped cream, ice cream and tiramisu. Sometimes, one caplet isn’t enough for things like these. But the caplets work amazing when I’m craving something sugary like a milkshake or soft serve ice cream.
